Kasem Bundit University passes Internal Quality Assurance with flying colors!

Kasem Bundit University would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Internal Quality Assurance Committee on the occasion of their institution-wise quality assurance inspection during the week of September 5-7, 2003.

This assessment was conducted to comply with the Office of the Higher Education Commission’s requirement that such evaluation be carried out at least once a year. For the Academic Year 2555, the Inspection Team rated Kasem Bundit University at the rank of GOOD with the total average score of 4.17. Based on the assessment, the Committee has made the following observations with regard to strengths and additional recommendations for further development.

Strengths

• The University Council is so strong as to encourage collaboration among departments to work in line with the Management. As a result, most of the work done is going smoothly and appropriately, leading to exceptional development of the University.
          • The Management takes responsibility in overall development seriously, takes part in finding solutions to the problems at hand, and makes decisions swiftly while Senior Management thoroughly understands the mission of the University’s quality assurance, resulting in rapid internal development.
          • The majority of the University’s staff is committed to the tasks assigned. This excellent factor has created a good number of staff members who are prominent in their fields such as in the Arts and Culture.
          • University graduates have the patience, commitment, and professional potential in their specialties, with Career Maturity fully recognized by business establishments.

Further Recommendations:
          • There should be a review of existing curriculum, focusing on contemporariness. Remuneration and cost effectiveness of educational services for each major should be taken into consideration with an aim for competitiveness, leading to in-depth quality and ultimately the quality of overall educational administration.
          • The University should find a better way to support those who are ready to advance their professorship by seeking to motivate them to focus on the development of academic positions such as allocating more time, providing training sessions so that they can obtain academic positions in time.
          • Priority should be given to PhD research. This can be accomplished by strengthening the research publication to be accepted by high-impact journals at the national level in order to create outstanding PhD students who are internationally recognized.
          • The University should plan to raise the overall quality of education both university-wide and department-wide by setting the direction and target outcome of the development in a clear, measurable manner so that an annual tracking of implementation can be done.
