KBU Dorm stages fire drill


          Kasem Bundit University Dormitory organized fire hazard watch under the project “KBU Dormitory Fire and Safety-1st Batch” to allow students and staff residents to gain the knowledge both in theory and in practice on how to prevent as well as deal with possible fire, which was presided by Ajarn Amnuay Angkabsri, Vice President, Romklao Campus.

          This training session was conducted by the team from Bangkok Fire and Rescue Department to familiarize the residents with the knowledge and use of fire-fighting equipment, including how to rescue victims, i.e. the use of fire extinguishers, fire hoses and nozzles, and how to extinguish various types of fires caused by oil or gas, or even the fire of cooking oil burning in the skillet, including basic first aid procedures, moving fire victims and evacuation steps. As a result, the residents learned how to apply what their knowledge at work and in their daily life. They were also trained in the proper way for fire prevention and fire fighting procedures. The drill was conducted near KBU dormitory, Kasem Bundit University on August 25, 2013.
